Open Question: A shirt-designing website that enables me to design on the sleeve?
Basically, I want to be able to design a long-sleeved shirt (thermal, if at every possible). I've been on a lot of websites, and they don't have the ability to do what I want: write on the sleeves. They're every either able to write on the front or back of the shirt, but never the sleeves. If anyone can find a website that enables that feature, please send the link and any further information you think would be helpful. Thanks so much! P.S. even custom orders are fine; i.e. having to discuss with a person online would even be fine.

Open Question: How do I get this kind of picture design type?
I'm already waiting for October to role around again for pumpkin carving. But this time I'm going to be carving a bunch of pumpkins. Open Question: Are my extra curricular activities adequate for a good college?
I'm currently a Junior and plan to apply to colleges such as University of Chicago, Emory, Duke, and Wake Forest. My GPA is low (3.67 unweighted, 4.5 weighted), so I'll probably have to rely on extra curriculars, etc. a little more. Please let me know your honest opinion; if it seems inadequate, I'll still have some time to improve. Thanks! ~ 4 years of policy debate-- first in the district in 2008, National tournament qualified (competed in Las Vegas), Quarter finalist and octafinalist at 2 national tournaments, First place at the Samford Institute tournament, several speaker awards ~ In 2008, I single handedly founded an international literary and art magazine which has published works from people from every across the US, Sweden, Canada, etc. It has received around 10,000 readers. I'm also currently the editor-in-chief. I've also designed and maintained the website for the magazine. ~ In tardy 2008/ 2009, single handedly founded an online organization that encourages people of every ages to engage in hobbies that will make their lives more meaningful. It has members who's shared their success stories from every across the U.S. I've designed and maintained the website for the organization. ~ 10 poems/photography published in 8 international literary and art magazines. Each have about a 20% acceptance rate. ~ Established website where I sell my photography, and have had pretty good income in place of a job. ~ Co-president of the AI club in our high school for 3 years. During my co-president years, the club has won the "best interest club" award from our high school. ~ I helped establish another club in our school during Sophomore and Junior year. I'm currently the co-vice president of that club, and it has more than 100 members. ~ Piano for 6 years-- state champion in 2007, honorable mention in state in 2008, district winner for 3 years (fresh-junior), winner of sonata competition in 2007, consistently invited to play in private recitals, etc. ~ I've volunteered at a selective Science middle, the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America. I have over 500 hours of community service. ~ I've worked in a lab at a state university over the summer. ~ I've attended 2 national debate institutes over the summer I'm sorry that was so long. Open Question: Some script required which magnifies my website's size to fit all resolutions..?
Okay, i'm working on this website, www.wearecivilians.com.. It's a big project for me.. The issue that has arises here is, the buyer has a screen resolution 1280*1024 and i designed the webapges for 1024*768.. Now he's saying that he want the website to 'fill' the screen for higher resolutions.. I told him majority of the users still go for 1024*768, but he doesn't goes with it.. The way i'm designing it is pretty basic; A centered table, and a layer in it.. (both fixed sizes of 990 in width) relax of the layers are nested inside the first layer so they stay in their proper places.. I'm thinking there must be a javascript or something that would 'magnify' the whole website when it is opened in higher resolution screens.. Just like you manually zoom in by 'CTRL+Scroll up/down'.. Is there someway it is possible? Please provide adequate information since i'm a beginner and the project really means a lot to me..

Open Question: Am I being unreasonable?
This lady contacted me in October, we set up an interview. She wanted me to build her a website and asked me to draw up designs. The meeting was 2 hours, it took an hour to walk there and back. I spent about 8 billable hours working on these. We had a back and forth through email, more time spent. After everything she said she liked the designs, but it would take a few weeks before her logo was ready so hold off on doing any more work. ... This was in October. I email every week, and she says she's "still" waiting for the logo. This morning I said "Screw it" and emailed her a bill. No more pu**y-footing. I've put way too many hours into this, but I only want to receive paid for my 8 hours of full-on work. Am I being unreasonable? Also, can I take legal action if she won't pay me?

Open Question: Looking for laptop pillow with ventilation?
I spend a lot of time using my laptop while I'm on my bed. I did some searching on the Internet and found the Stacked Log Laptop Pillow by Intelligent Forms Design Inc. They are based in Vancouver BC. When I went to look at their website, my McAfee Security System warned me that it was a questionable site. Therefore, I did not go on-line. I tried calling the contact person on the press release I read, left a message on his voice-mail, but he has not returned my call. The press release stated that they launched their on-line store in October 2008. Does anybody know anything about this organization? Can you suggest another manufacturer of a similar product and how to contact them or find out where their products are sold?

basically, i have loads of designs i wish to produce. to produce these i must combine at least 2 pics together at a time to make them. photo-store is excellent for this but i have no experience whatsoever. if i practise enough will i pick it up by myself? also i have a flash website, i need to edit it, could i work it every out in flash (some stuff i want to edit is very technical) or should i just receive someone who knows what they are doing to do it for me? i have ps btw. thanks for your time if you answer, MUCH APPRECIATED.much adore.

Open Question: I really want to get rid of a website that was set up through my college.?
In College we set up these websites as portfolios for our graphic design work to receive a grade. I thought the sites were temporary on the web until the class was well over. So I have contacted the school, the IT department, the department of graphic design, etc. receive little help or no help. I also contacted the professor who does not work there anymore. Sooooo.... I just want to receive rid of it or find a reasonable rate with a company that pushes it down off of the first 2-3 pages of the search engine. Recommendations for companies that can do this and pricing? Or any ideas?

I recently made my possess web design company (I have a portfolio and everything), and I thought of a good way to find work. I went to "yellowpages.com", and found tons of tiny businesses without websites. They list the companies phone number, so I thought I can call a ton of tiny businesses and tell them about my services. I think if I told them it will be cheap, quick, and with a money-back guarantee, they will be interested. How should I talk to them on the phone? What are the important things to tell them? Open Question: How to fade edges of a DIV?
I started designing a new website and I'm new to using CSS and DIVs and stuff, but I'm starting to understand more. Is there any way I can fade the left and right edges of my DIV, similar to the "feather" effect in photoshop? Remember, I'm still learning, so be as detailed as possible. The reason I want to do this is I have content that scrolls left and right on mouse over inside my div and I want the edges to fade instead of just cutting off.

Open Question: How to make a blog, this is my first time.?
Ok I devolped my web page, I have the design and I have the every the stuff I need for that. I also bought my domain name, so I do have a website name. Before I publish it and make it accesable tot he world I want to make a blog on it. I want this blog to be where I can imput my thoughts and also where others can input theirs. Resolved Question: Where to start with C#?
Well, I've learned the basic concepts of C++, every the functions, algorithms and every that good stuff and im alright with it. I am also really good at using Visual Basic. I dislike like C++ due to the fact that it mainly uses just a command prompt, but I like the more complex style of coding. I've read from multiple sites that c# is a mix of the two and allows the design of a GUI, which I deffintley would like. So my question is are there any sites, or books (thanks to everyone who reccomended the c++ books there coming in handy =)) that I could buy. Also is there a website with a list of functions for c#?Are there any sites for C sharp like cplusplus.com? Also I am NOT looking for answers putting me down such as "Go learn every this then arrive back to me" "This is to difficult for you" blah blah blah. I know what Im getting into. Anyways, Thanks for everyones input! I am using Visual C# 2008 express edition btw. Haha thats what I read. Open Question: How do I make a Serif Web Plus designed website faster to load?
I am building a new website using Serif Web Plus. The finished product is a little slow to load when a user logs onto the site. I am not using excessive pictures etc. The part that is slowest to appear on the screen is the task-bar. Any advice on things I can do/change to make it load quicker?

Open Question: Portfolio Question: I've got a work of mine on a website. Can I include it in my portfolio? And if so, how?
There's a CD cover I have designed for someone's album which is on the artist's homepage. I want to include it in my portfolio and show that someone has used my work for his album. My question is: How shall I put it in my portfolio, make a screen of the work? Is that enough proof? Or how can I prove that it's my work, because there's just written "design by Lucy" and I'm not sure if that's enough... Open Question: How to find free spider software to make keywords work for your website.?
Upon the design process of my new website www.howtohitthelottery.com I now look that key words play a big roll into the success of any website, that items like googlebots, send hits out to find these key words and you receive a free google or yahoo listing, with the new start up of my .com business I lack the knowledge and tricks to the trade. Can anyone who has the knowledge that I lack, help me, what free spider software, or free counter service to know how many visitors that your site might have...........I understand that spider software examines other successful websites and discovers key words used in their website, that will allow my site to have better draw and exsposure, would just typing in key words in google or yahoo search engine give the same results as spider ware, I guess I simply need the website guide for dummies........Thank you every that can offer any advice to me, have a great New Year ?

Open Question: Help with website: is it possible to create a dynamic Iframe, without a scrollbar?
Im trying to build a website the way i want it to be made. ok, imagine a wordpress or other typical blog, it looks completely like a typical blog. now imagine that its every made with html instead of php and in the middle there is something that takes the blog entries that i make in a dummy wordpress blog and feeds them into the middle of my html page. this way i can design the blog the way i want instead of trying to modify a wordpress theme, which is a pain in the ass. most people say to use an iframe for this. my problem is that iframes have scrollbars on the side and are fixed lengths. is there any way to make a fixed width iframe without any scrollbars, where the length is dynamic, and dependent on the amount of content wordpress would put on one page. Is there any way to do this? are there any other ideas anyone has for this? or would an rss feed do the same thing? thanks
